Stay up to date on freeway closures
Click the Weekend Travel Advisory map for more information about these scheduled restrictions for improvement projects along Phoenix-area freeways this weekend (March 11-14):
- Westbound Loop 101 narrowed to three lanes between State Route 51 and Cave Creek Road in north Phoenix from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 p.m. Sunday (March 13) for pavement maintenance. The northbound SR 51 ramp to westbound Loop 101 will be closed. Alternate routes include westbound Union Hills Drive to northbound Seventh Street while the SR 51 ramp is closed.
- The Miller Road underpass at I-10 in Buckeye will be closed from 9 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday (March 14) for removal of older bridge sections. I-10 on- and off-ramps at the Miller Road interchange will be open but some drivers will need to use detours because of the closure of the underpass. Alternate routes include Watson Road and Yuma Road.
- The northbound State Route 51 ramp to eastbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) in north Phoenix will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday (March 14) for removal of temporary barrier wall. Drivers who normally would use that ramp can instead exit northbound SR 51 to eastbound Union Hills Drive and use northbound Tatum Boulevard to reach Loop 101.
