Important Closure Updates for Loop 303: Plan Ahead for June 2-5

If you’re a driver in Arizona, it’s crucial to be aware of the upcoming closures on Loop 303 for interchange construction. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) wants to ensure your safety and smooth travel, so here are the key details you need to know:

  1. Westbound Closure: From 8 p.m. on Friday, June 2, until 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, the westbound section of Loop 303 between I-17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway will be CLOSED. This closure is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities.

DETOUR: As an alternative, we recommend utilizing westbound State Route 74 (Carefree Highway) to access southbound Lake Pleasant Parkway. This route will guide you beyond the closure and help you reach your destination without any inconvenience.

  1. Eastbound Closure: Starting from 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, until 5 a.m. on Monday, June 5, the eastbound portion of Loop 303 between Lake Pleasant Parkway and I-17 will be CLOSED. This closure is designed to facilitate the necessary construction work for the interchange.

DETOUR: For a smooth detour, we suggest taking the northbound route on Lake Pleasant Parkway and then transitioning onto eastbound State Route 74. This will enable you to connect to I-17 and Sonoran Desert Drive seamlessly.

Intermittent Rolling Closures: Please be aware that intermittent rolling closures will also take place on both east- and westbound sections of Loop 303 between I-17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway. These closures are scheduled on weekdays, specifically between 9 and 11 a.m. and 7 and 9 p.m.
