🎵 Goldrush: Midnight Riders
If electronic music is your thing, this is one of the biggest events happening in the Valley this weekend.
Goldrush: Midnight Riders takes over Rawhide Western Town September 11–12, with more than 50 artists performing across multiple stages. The 2026 lineup includes Alesso, deadmau5, GRiZ, Martin Garrix and plenty more.

🇲🇽 El Grito Phoenix
Downtown Phoenix comes alive Saturday for El Grito, a celebration of Mexican Independence Day featuring live music, mariachi, ballet folklórico, lucha libre, food, vendors, family activities and fireworks.
The event runs from 4:00–11:00 PM on Saturday, September 12 near 4th Avenue and Washington Street. Children 12 and under are admitted free.

Want something that feels a little more Arizona?
Fulton Homes’ The West’s Most Western Rodeo returns to WestWorld of Scottsdale September 11–13. The PRCA-sanctioned event includes bull riding, barrel racing, bareback and saddle bronc riding, team roping, steer wrestling and more.
Performances are scheduled for 7 PM Friday and Saturday and 2 PM Sunday.

🌙 Mesa Night Market: Mid-Autumn Mooncake Festival
For something a little different Saturday evening, head to Mesa’s Asian District for the Mesa Night Market: Mid-Autumn Mooncake Festival.
Expect mooncakes, Asian street food, local vendors, shopping and cultural performances celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival.

🐠 Animal Crossing Comes to SEA LIFE Arizona
Here’s a good one for families — especially if you have Nintendo fans in the house.
The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Aquarium Tour is at SEA LIFE Arizona at Arizona Mills. The experience includes themed displays, a stamp rally, photo opportunities and familiar Animal Crossing characters throughout the aquarium.
Even better, Tom Nook meet-and-greets are scheduled September 11–13 from 10 AM–6 PM, subject to availability.

Still too hot for a daytime walk through the Desert Botanical Garden? Go after dark.
Desert Oasis Garden After Dark transforms the Garden trails with more than a dozen immersive light installations inspired by monsoon colors and the Sonoran Desert.
The experience runs from 6–10 PM, with different music themes throughout the week.

Sunday morning, car enthusiasts can head to Cars & Coffee Peoria near Lake Pleasant Parkway and Happy Valley Road.

🏈 Arizona Sports This Weekend
It’s a pretty good weekend to park yourself in front of a TV, too.
Arizona State travels to College Station to take on No. 10 Texas A&M on Saturday, while the University of Arizona plays No. 15 BYU in Provo at 12:30 PM Arizona time.
Then Sunday brings the beginning of the Arizona Cardinals’ 2026 regular season. The Cardinals open on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 1:25 PM Arizona time.

Here’s this week’s quick snapshot for Maricopa County, as of September 9, 2026:
Median List Price: $535,000
Active Inventory: 12,814 homes
Average Days on Market: 99 days
Average Price Per Square Foot: $270
Median Rent: $2,399
Market Action Index: 36
That last number is worth watching.
Altos Research describes a Market Action Index around 30 as roughly balanced, while readings of 35 or higher generally indicate seller-market conditions.
At 36, we’re technically still on the seller side of the equation, but this isn’t the frantic seller’s market Phoenix experienced a few years ago.
With average market time approaching 100 days and buyers having substantially more choices, pricing, condition and presentation matter. Buyers can afford to be more selective, while sellers need to pay close attention to what they’re competing against.
That’s where the headline numbers don’t tell the whole story. Real estate conditions can vary dramatically from one neighborhood, ZIP code and price range to another.
